MRA Rescheduled Round 1 at Pueblo this weekend; What you need to know

Our rescheduled Round 1 is only a couple days away and here are some things you need to know about this upcoming weekend at Pueblo Motorsports Park:

  • On Friday, Pueblo Motorsports Park is hosting an open lapping day from 8:30am-3pm, with a 30 minutes lunch at noon. Full day is $120, partial day from 12:30- 3:00pm is $75. Registration closes on Thursday, June 2nd, at 3:00pm. Go here to register can not  register and pay on Friday.

  • Gates will be open Thursday evening after 6:00 pm.

  • There is Friday night drag racing this weekend. You will not have to move your pit if you have set up prior to Friday evening’s drags.  Please make sure that the pit lanes are clear and your personal items are secure.

  • The new track managers, Gary and Gari Harper, will be holding a Pot Luck BBQ Saturday evening at the Pavilion. They will be preparing beef tri tip and are asking everyone to attend and bring a side dish if possible.

  • Concessions will be available this weekend and they will be serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.

  • Showers in the Quarter Midget Track building will be available this weekend.

  • Pueblo has tire warmer electrical hook-ups in place near the picnic area for $25 a day. This is first come/first serve and can be paid for in the race day office. THESE ARE NOT RV HOOK-UPS!  If you have a generator, we suggest you bring it so that those that really need the power hook-ups get them.

  • You can now verify you grid position prior to the weekend if you pre-entered. Please check the MRA website at – (this may not be available until late Wednesday)

  • The MRA will open Friday Tech about an hour after the track goes cold, approximately 4:00pm. This is only available for racers that have preregistered and paid. 2016 MRA Rulebooks and stickers will be available at Tech. Saturday morning Tech opens at 6:30am.

  • The race day office will also open on Friday about an hour after the track goes cold, approximately 4:00pm. An announcement will be made over the PA system. The office will open again at 6:30 am on Saturday and Sunday. If you did not preregister and pay for your races by Monday, 5/30, or would like to drop or add classes, you will need to see the MRA Office Staff.

  • The race day office will close at 10:15 Saturday morning so that grids for sprint races can be completed. We ask that if you need assistance after this time, please contact an MRA Board member in the paddock.

  • Race Day Schedules and Contingency forms will be available in the race day office.

  • The rider meetings will start 15 minutes earlier this season at 7:30 am. Attendance is mandatory for all competitors.

  • We will be using Race Monitor for live timing this weekend. To access it, you will need to purchase and download the app on your phone. For more information, please visit their website:

We look forward seeing you Round 1!
