The MRA now has an affiliate plan for helicopter insurance for MRA members through the AirMedCare Network®. Instead of it potentially costing you between $30,000 and $50,000 for helicopter transport to the hospital should the unthinkable happen, you can be covered for $65 per year. You should also check with your individual insurance company to see if your personal insurance covers emergency helicopter transport and what the deductible may be.
At High Plains Raceway, the first helicopter company that Western Ambulance calls IS covered under this insurance. If that helicopter company is busy and can’t respond, there is a chance that another company further away could be called that doesn’t accept this insurance.
This coverage is nationwide with 320 helicopter locations in 38 states across the USA, and can also be used if you are traveling and have a car accident or any other emergency that requires air transport.
