Only the Race Director and persons authorized by the Race Director may call a red flag. At a minimum, the Head Corner Marshal and the Track Manager have this authority.  All red flag responses shall prioritize rider/responder safety as well as the response time of medical personnel.  Crashed vehicle removal shall be deprioritized to a casual, safe, secondary timeline.

  1. At any time a downed motorcycle is on the racing surface a red flag shall be called and immediately enforced.
  2. At any time a rider is called “down” (unresponsive or does not move themselves out of harm’s way) a red flag will be called and immediately enforced.
  3. At the time of discovery of any likelihood of oil or slick substance on the track, a red flag will be called and immediately enforced.
  4. If a bike, rider, or both are down in a crash zone off the racing surface a red flag may be called at the discretion of the race director or appointed official only.
  5. Exceptional weather or circumstance may additionally warrant the use of a red flag.
