The MRA has an immediate opening on the Board of Directors for the position of Treasurer. The position requires knowledge and skills which include transaction processing using Paypal, RaceWurx and QuickBooks, balancing bank statements, preparation of P&L statements, interfacing with CPAs for yearly tax filing and issuance of 1099s. The Treasurer will also prepare annual budgets, process checks and credit cards for all payments, issue checks on race day, and reconcile race payments with entries. This is a non-racing position. Compensation is $350/race weekend plus a travel stipend and credits to use to register a family member for racing.
The Board will review applicants and will select a Treasurer for the 2016 season. In November 2016, the position will be up for nominations and election. Interested persons can apply by sending a letter of interest and resume to email@example.com by January 29, 2016. Qualified applicants will be interviewed by the sitting Board of Directors at the February 1st Board Meeting and appointed no later than February 10, 2016.
The MRA Board of Directors would like to thank Chris Papajohn for filling in following the resignation of the previous Treasurer. Chris has been a tremendous asset in helping us complete the 2015 race season and preparing for 2016.
