Early Pre-Entry Deadline Round 7

MRA Racers and Fans,

Reminder that the pre-entry deadline for Pueblo (and all future events) has moved back to the FRIDAY THE WEEK BEFORE THE EVENT at Midnight. So, for Round #7 you need to be registered AND PAID by 11:59 pm on Friday the 10th of September. Please don't forget, and be sure to tell your buddies and pit-mates!

Based on where we are financially right now, I don't forsee any reason that we would not hold the event. That said, obviously the better the turnout the better the competition, and the better the weekend financially for the club. We've got two rounds left, let's rally and have a great finish to the season!

The "Friday Night Drags" season ends in August, so we won't have the issue of being pitted in their way on Friday or the extra traffic and people thru the pits Friday.

Also, Judy Faass has provided me with the following information regarding her lapping day on Friday the 17th so that we don't have any surprises or miscommunications for people trying to get in or out of the facility on Friday.

The biggest thing she stressed about getting thru the gate timely is TO PRE REGISTER FOR THE EVENT and not just show up on Friday. That makes the line long and tedious...

Pueblo Motorsports Park – Friday Sept 17 – Open Lapping for Bikes Only

1.Run groups will be determined AFTER we receive pre-registrations and know who is coming. Some street bikes might join us and we need to keep them out of the way of the racers. We most likely will plan on TWO run groups. PLEASE PLEASE PRE REGISTER SO WE MAY GIVE YOU THE BEST SERVICE.

2.Full day ONLY, no half day. Cost is $120 for the day. Gates open at 7am. Track is hot 8am to 4pm. The cost is $120 NO MATTER WHEN YOU GET THERE. Same price whether you check in at 7am or 3pm.

3.Crew members may join the participant for free. Spectators (non riders, non crew) pay $10 each to get in. A paid spectator is covered on our insurance. All must sign the track liability waiver regardless of their participation status. No one will enter the gate unless they are prepaid online or pay at the gate.

5.An ambulance will be there - the MRA will not be setting up air fence on Friday

6.MRA officials may enter at anytime to set up for the weekend. Gate crossings for officials and other riders will be IN BETWEEN sessions as needed. Those lined up at the gate can cross, those who arrive after the gate shuts will have to wait until the next crossing opportunity.

I have provided Judy with a list of MRA officials and workers who are required to get in without having to pay or register to ride. IF YOU ARE NOT an MRA Board Member or other official, do not even try to get thru on that. They have been instructed that if they have any trouble at the gate the staff may call me on my cell and I'll get it sorted out.
